Elizabeth Arden Eyeshadow Duo in 'Autumn Leaves'

I bought this duo completely blind as I actually found it in TK Maxx. I've always been quite intrigued by Elizabeth Arden as a brand - I love the luxe, expensive feel they have about them as a brand. I got the duo for £7.99 in TK Maxx and assumed by the name "Autumn Leaves" that they'd be some sort of neutral shades.

I was kind of disappointed to see that they were matte shades but I was really happy with the shades. The lighter shade is a peachy shade which is actually quite close to my skin colour so it's really nice to use it on my lids to get rid of darkness. The pigmentation is okay for this shade but it does need to be built up. The darker shade is gorgeous though, a rich chocolate brown which is very pigmented. It is a bit chalky but it's to be expected with matte shades.

I love using these shades for a very simple every day smokey eye and the size makes it great to pop in your make-up bag. The packaging in general is just really nice and I love the mirror too. It's great for travel and touch ups and overall I'm really happy with the duo. However I don't think I would pay the full price for it. It's very pricey and I think you could get better eyeshadows like MAC, Urban Decay, Stila for a similar or even lower price!

Essie Fiji Nail Polish

When I found out Essie had come to the UK I wasn't too bothered. However when I got to the little Essie stand I found myself getting really excited and bought two straight away. I bought the infamous Essie Mint Candy Apple and this one, Fiji. I think lighter/brighter colours look better on my nails - I just think it looks better with my skin. I find dark colours make my hands look uglier than they are (I really hate my hands). Fiji can be described as a very very very light pink and I adore it.

On tanned/darker skins it really pops out but it still compliments paler skins really nicely too. I think it's a really versatile colour! I know some people with darker skins don't like it. If you don't like "tippex-y" looking colours then I wouldn't buy this. But if you're a fan of neutrals and pastels then I think you'd really like this one.

You can buy Essie in Superdrug and Boots in the UK or online.

Korres Materia Herba Anti Ageing Eye Cream

You must be thinking two things. One - why on earth are you using an anti ageing eye cream when you're only 19?! And two - an eye cream for £39?!?!?!?! Hmmm yes. To answer the latter - I got it from the wonderful TK Maxx (I promise I'm not sponsored by them) for around £9 (which is a hefty saving). To answer the first...I don't really have an answer! Might as well prevent what I don't have yet!

Now I find eye creams strange. I've never seen any effect from an eye cream. I used to really hate my dark circles but no eye creams ever helped. I bought one just because I thought I needed one in my skincare routine! And why not pick up a Korres one, I always hear great things about the brand.

The cream is a pale colour and is unscented as far as I can tell which I'm grateful for. One thing I notice is how quickly its absorbed. You put the tiniest amount and softly massage it in and it's gone! Simples. It keeps my under-eye area moisturised and refreshed! Now I can't really compare this to anything as it's the only eye cream I have on hand. However there's no way I would pay £39 for it. I'd rather splurge on the Origins GinZing! However this eye cream is lovely and luxurious and a great addition to my skincare routine.

Lush Eau Roma Toner Water

I bought this a few weeks ago in London because I really wanted a toning spray as I love how refreshing they feel. I also really trust Lush as a brand as it never breaks me out and generally does good things for my skin.

Now if you've read my Caudalie Beauty Elixir you'll know I wasn't particularly impressed. This however, I'm in love with. It smells gorgeous and feels incredible on the skin. I love using it before my moisturiser and it's absorbed really easily which I like. It's not one you could spray out and about because it's not a fine mist, it's quite a hard spritz actually! It still makes me jump! Aside from this I love this product.

It's helped clear my skin and in conjunction with my Angels On Bare Skin cleanser it works wonderfully. It's a very good price too for 100g whereas the beauty elixir was nearly £10 for only 30ml! You can buy a bigger bottle of this which I may do next time as I really love it. Have any of you tried this?

Stila Lipstick in Keren

Another TK Maxx purchase. I actually own a lot of Stila and most of them are from TK Maxx! I absolutely LOVE this lipstick. The colour is the perfect nude for me and I love wearing it. It's very creamy and buildable and has a slightly glossy finish. It lasts nicely on the lips and I just really enjoy using this.

Now the reason I'm not going to write a lot about this is because I have a feeling it's discontinued. I can't find any Stila lipsticks in their official stockist websites which I'm so sad about because I love this shade very much! I do have dupes for this shade though but I really do love this particular one.

Have any of you tried Stila lipsticks?

L'Oreal Lumi Magique Foundation

I really wanted to try this foundation but it's shade range is very disappointing. The darkest shade (Gold Sand) looked okay however and I went for it. It's actually a tiny bit light but some bronzer makes it look okay on my skin. I love the consistency, I'm not used to such a light feeling foundation. It smoothes into the skin wonderfully and blends in so quickly. I hate applying with fingers but I actually like using my fingers for this foundation as it's so fuss free and easy. It gives a slightly dewy finish and your skin does feel a tiny bit tacky for a while. Powdering is optional but it's not that long lasting unfortunately!

What I have to say about this foundation though is that it photographs beautifully. It just blurs out my imperfections (I promise you my skin is not that nice!) but doesn't look harsh or glare-y. So far it hasn't broken me out and I PRAY it doesn't because I really like it! My one snipe is that it's so pricey for a drugstore foundation!! L'Oreal is usually quite cheeky with their prices I suppose. This and their lack of darker shades kind of ruin the experience for me but other than that I'm in love!

Have you tried this foundation? What do you think?

Caudalie Beauty Elixir

I fell for the hype a month ago and bought this. I paid £9.90 for it from Feel Unique which I thought was okay but the bottle is actually tiny. Nevertheless I got all excited to spray it and when I did, I nearly spluttered. It smelt EXACTLY like Strepsils Lemon & Honey. Now I don't know about you but I grew up with this scent. I was a sickly child who would get a sore throat basically every few weeks so Strepsils lozenges were my best friend, the lemon and honey one in particular. I don't think it's what I'd like to spray all over my face though.

This aside the spray is quite nice. It is very wet and you have to wait a few minutes for it to sink in. It's not more refreshing than my Fix+ and I didn't find anything too special about it. In conjunction with my new skincare routine at the time it did help with clearing up my skin but I can't say if it was a top player in the part.

I have found a much nicer dupe for this though which I will be posting about soon. What did you think of this? Do you think it's over-hyped? I could never see myself spending £28 (!!!) on the full size!

Vivo Blush in Peaches & Cream

I knew I'd love this. I'm completely besotted to Coralista by Benefit and this a similar but a bit less pigmented. It's lovely as an eyeshadow colour too. I rarely buy VIVO because I rarely go in Tesco but whenever I do I go a bit mad at the VIVO counter. I control myself but this time I had to buy a blush. I love the consistency, it's very smooth and easy to blend. It has a lot of shimmer which gives a gorgeous glow to the cheeks so highlight is optional. And the best part is it's only £4! How can anyone complain? In the pictures I'm wearing it on my eyes too!

I love wearing this colour on a day to day basis, it's definitely a top fave. I really want to buy the VIVO bronzer, the lightest shade which looks like a beautiful highlight! Hopefully I'll pick it up next week!

Have you tried Peaches & Cream?

Dr Pierre Ricaud Winter Radiance High Nutrition Day Cream

I have been getting Dr Pierre Ricaud brochures for as long as I can remember. Their skincare is lovely and their make-up is nice too. However they're not very well known! As far as I know, they're a french brand. I'm not sure if they're popular over there but I find their products very nice quality. A lot of their products are in the mid-price range but they have a lot of offers that you can snag.

A few months ago I found that my skin was very dry and dehydrated. I went rummaging in my mum's drawer (she never uses her things) and found this cream still boxed. It's specifically for moisturising dry skin and it has Omega Magnesium C+. It has an almost balmy consistency but it's absorbed really quickly and makes your skin feel hydrated and plump. It's so easy to use and doesn't feel greasy or too much like some moisturising creams can feel.

It's really helped my skin in the past few months and I love applying it after my toner. It is a bit pricey but I definitely recommend it if you have dry skin! They have lots of other creams for different skins so be sure to check it all out.

June Favourites

Stila Lipstick in Keren - I adore this lipstick. I'm surprised how many Stila products I have! This lipstick is the perfect nude for me and it's so creamy. I'll do a more in-depth post on this lipstick because it's such a gem! I'll definitely be repurchasing.

L'Oreal False Lash Telescopic Mascara - This deserves an OMG. I've always loved the telescopic mascaras and this reminded me why. My lashes look so long and separated, I can't rate this mascara enough. I will definitely be repurchasing this! On nights I just use a heavier mascara and then this over it to define and lengthen a bit more. It honestly has no faults.

No 7 Intelligent Balance Foundation - I've had this for a very long time and I really like it again. It's a bit more difficult to blend but a buffing brush sorts the problem out. It gives good coverage, lasts well on the skin and doesn't break me out. I don't know if they still sell this in this packaging. I may buy a new one as this one is really old now! (Just checked and apparently it's discontinued! Luckily the link provided is my shade)

Ecotools Buffing Brush - I've already talked about this, I've been using it non-stop since I got it. I still can't compare it to the Real Techniques one but I really, really like this one! I definitely recommend you all get it, it's a bargain.

Collection 2000 lasting Perfection Concealer - I've neglected my MAC Pro Longwear for this concealer. It's a really good one for the Summer and I've fallen back in love. What's not to love? It's cheap, effective and the colour is a perfect match! I'm in number 4; deep!

Stila Sun SPF 15 Bronzer in Shade 02 - I bought this a very long time ago too and I'm giving it love again. It's the perfect shade for my skintone and it's a good matte bronzer. In the pan there's some shimmer but it doesn't come across on the face. I've been a bit bronzing mad this month and this has sated my hunger for bronzer this month haha!

That's all this month! What's been your faves?
